In this eight step guide, we will explore the seven simple steps + one that no one talks about – to activate the Law of Attraction in your life and empower you to manifest your dreams.

The Law of Attraction is not a new concept. It has been around for centuries, but it gained widespread popularity with the publication of the groundbreaking book, “The Secret.”

This best-selling book introduced millions of people to the power of the Law of Attraction and its ability to transform lives.

At its core, the Law of Attraction operates on the principle that your thoughts and emotions have a magnetic quality. Whatever you consistently focus on, whether consciously or subconsciously, you attract into your own life. It’s like a cosmic mirror reflecting back to you the same energy that you emit. You can use this universal law to improve both your mental and physical health.

The law of attraction is a philosophical concept that suggests that positive thought and actions lead to positive experiences, while negative ones lead to negative outcomes. It is a New Thought spiritual belief that asserts that our thoughts and energies can influence the events and circumstances of our lives and create a more positive outlook.

The fundamental principles of the law of attraction are like attracts like, nature abhors a vacuum, and the present is always perfect. (More on that below.)

By focusing on our goals, expressing gratitude, identifying negative thinking, moving towards positive thinking, and reframing negative events, we can create our own reality and attract positive experiences in relationships, work, and money.

The law of attraction emphasizes the importance of developing a growth mindset, taking action towards achieving goals, and adopting a growth mindset to move unhealthy relationships and improve our mental health and relationships.

Is the law of attraction a lie?

While the law of attraction has been criticized by some as a pseudoscience and is not supported by empirical evidence, others find it to be a helpful tool for personal growth and self-improvement. And it’s also true that some people who teach the law of attraction are genuine and heart-centered, and others might be taking advantage of buyers or lacking integrity. But this is all true of almost any online education.

The idea that positive thoughts and actions can lead to positive outcomes aligns with principles of cognitive-behavioral therapy and can help individuals focus on their goals and develop a growth mindset.

Tip: Hang on Loosely

As a spiritual entrepreneur, I find tools like the law of attraction to be helpful, and I’ve seen it work in my own life. That said, I also hang on loosely. Meaning: it’s not something I would ever defend, try to convince someone of, pressure anyone into, or force myself to utilize just because someone said to.

There is some science related to neuro linguistic programming that shows how our thoughts can impact our actions. And there are millions of people who have had positive experiences with LOA.

AND: it’s also true that some people try the steps and don’t find success, and that these laws are hypothetical and spiritual.

So, use them if they are helpful. Be discriminatory when spending your money on tools, courses, and coaching. And above all?

What are the 3 laws of attraction

The steps to use the law of attraction for manifesting below can be simplified in the three laws of attraction in general. They are…

  • Like Attracts Like: people often use magnets as an analogy to describe this law. But in short, your thoughts create your reality. Match your thoughts to what you want, in order to attract what you want.
  • Nature Abhors a Vacuum: attracting what you want often involves the need to create space. However, if you aren’t mindful, then you’ll fill the empty space with more “junk” (more of what you don’t want). So, the law of attraction requires intentionality on what you’re calling in.
  • The Present is Always Perfect: while you’re waiting to manifest what you want, it’s also critical to be grateful for where you are. Otherwise, you’ll constantly be focusing on what is “wrong” with your life. By doing so, and using the law of “like attracts like” you may subconsciously be telling your current less-than-ideal reality to remain.

Below I break these laws into 8 actionable steps. I’m not the first person to do this, and these steps are similar to many you’ll find in books and videos, etc.

EXCEPT number eight. Which was the missing piece for me, and might be for many of you, too.

Step 1: Clarify Your Desires

The first step in harnessing the power of the Law of Attraction is to get clear about what you want. Take the time to reflect on your desires in every aspect of your life – career, relationships, health, finances, and personal growth. Write down your goals and create a clear vision of what you want to manifest.

Remember, the more specific and detailed you are, the easier it will be for the universe to bring your desires to fruition. Visualize yourself as positive person already living your dreams, and feel the joy and excitement as if they have already manifested.

Belief is a crucial element in the Law of Attraction. You must believe that your desires are not only possible but also attainable. Remove any doubts or limiting beliefs that may hinder your manifestation process. Replace them with positive affirmations and empowering beliefs that support your goals.

Cultivate an unwavering faith in the universe’s ability to deliver what you desire. Trust that the universe is always working in your favor, and let go of any need to control the how and when of your manifestations.

While the Law of Attraction is a powerful tool, it doesn’t mean you can sit back and wait for miracles to happen. Taking inspired action is a crucial step in the manifestation process. Ask yourself, “What positive changes can I do right now to move closer to my goals?”

Inspired action is different from regular action.

It is driven by intuition and aligned with your desires. Trust your inner guidance and take steps that feel exciting and aligned with your vision. As you take action, the universe will respond by providing opportunities and resources to support your journey.

Your mindset plays a pivotal role in your ability to manifest your dreams. Cultivate a positive and optimistic mindset that aligns with the desires you’re calling in. When a negative thought comes up, allow yourself to notice it. How can you replace it with a positive affirmation instead?

This intentional noticing helps you focus on what you want rather than what you don’t want.

Practice gratitude daily for what you already have and the progress you’ve made. Gratitude amplifies positive energy and attracts more abundance of positive things into your life. Surround yourself with uplifting people, books, and resources that support your growth and reinforce your new mindset.

It’s one thing to say “cultivate a positive mindset” and another to actually do it. I recommend intentionally looking at your scarcity mindset, and untangling your money stories. This creates more space for attraction work.

Visualization and affirmations are powerful techniques to program your subconscious mind for success.

Take a few moments each day to visualize yourself already living your desired reality. See, hear, and feel the details of your manifestation as if it another person’s life, happening in the present moment.

Combine your visualization practice with affirmations that affirm your beliefs and desires. Repeat positive statements that reflect your desired reality. For example,

“I am attracting abundance into my life effortlessly”

or

“I am deserving of love and healthy relationships.”

Trust that these affirmations will rewire your subconscious mind and align your vibration with your desires.

Tip: Create a morning mindset routine and build unwavering desire.

One of the most powerful tools I’ve used to support manifesting and my divine feminine? Was creating a daily routine where I intentionally focus on visualizing, journaling, and thinking about my vision. This has a direct impact for me on creating more success, self reflection, and creative visualization.

One of the biggest challenges in manifesting is letting go of attachment to the outcome. Understand that the universe has its own divine timing and wisdom. Release any resistance or attachment to how and when your desires will manifest.

Have faith in the process and trust that everything is unfolding perfectly. Surrender control and allow the universe to deliver your desires in the most magical and unexpected ways. Remember, detours and unexpected opportunities may arise, but they are all part of the journey towards your dreams.

By embracing gratitude, you shift negative energy from your focus to abundance and attract more reasons to be grateful. Celebrate even the smallest manifestations, as they are a sign that you are in alignment with your desires and on the path to creating the life you want.

Journaling is one of the best ways to stay attuned to yourself, and build your intuition. I highly recommend journaling everyday, and listing at least 3 things daily that you’re grateful for.

Step eight to manifesting, and the step I’ve never heard LOA gurus talk about, is learning how to regulate your nervous system AND get better at feeling.

At the end of the day, the desires of our heart are what we were meant to have. We are born into the world with imagination and freedom, and as we grow up this is slowly robbed from us as we are molded by society and the people around us.

You can use the 7 steps above plus this one to manifest, or you can make it more simple. What if you simply paid attention to how you felt, asked yourself what you wanted and needed in any given moment, and then allowed yourself to have it?
